Elegant and crisp-notes of fresh lime and citrus with fresh white fruit and light leesy flavours. Subtle mouthfeel and balanced acidity.
The abundance of Aloe Ferox with its bright orange plumes on the north sloping ridge on Karusa guards over this single vineyard Chardonnay, henc the name “Aloe Ridge”.
This wine is a pale white wine with a greenish tinge. It has a medium intense nose reminiscent of peaches and ripe orange peel. This well rounded medium bodied dry wine confirms the peach character found on the nose, balanced out by a soft natural acidity which contributes to the long aftertaste.
Lively pale lemon yellow with a hint of green. The nose is blend of cashew nuts, subtle peach and flinty, toasted oak. Very specific vinification techniques and the barrel maturation process have resulted in an integrated and elegant wine. The palate is full, balanced and lingering with a hint of citrus, white chocolate and vanilla pods. The wine has great aging potential and will reward 2 to 5 years of cellaring. An ideal companion for firm fish such as tuna.
